The Lock Tavern Festival
By Hannah Phillips
Ditch the egg hunts and treat your ears instead this Easter, at one of Camden’s best pubs.
From Thursday 24th March until Sunday 27th March, The Lock Tavern will continue its acclaimed annual festival, bringing with it a whole host of emerging bands and high calibre DJs.
This time, London’s Riot grrrls Skinny Girl Diet return as Saturday headliners, fresh from a blistering performance at the Punk.London launch back in January (we were there – punk isn’t dead!). Meanwhile, indie newcomers Sweat and their slinky synths will ensure you dance those Lindt bunnies and Creme Eggs off in no time.
Also featuring across the weekend are Riddles, Wedding, Rats On Rafts, Chartreuse, Virgin Kids, The Whig Whams, Blonde Bunny and more, while Boxed In collaborators Formation and DJs from the likes of Field Day, SEXBEAT and White Heat will see you through until the early hours.
And because Easter weekend wouldn’t be complete without stuffing your face with all the food you gave up for lent, an extensive menu of burgers and pies will also be on offer from The Merriweather Ration Club, alongside London’s favourite street food pros – and, of course, beer on tap.
With free entry all weekend (but RSVP via DICE FM essential to secure your spot), you’d be hopping mad not to.
