Biennial dance festival, ‘the world’s biggest and most influential dance initiative’, was founded in 2006. Artist JEREMY DELLER and art historian Professor DAVID ALAN MELLOR co-curate survey of ‘one of Britain’s great visionary artists’, celebrating both his life, which includes working with Spike Milligan, The Beatles and Ken Russell and his art. His work encompassed painting, sculpture, robotised assemblages, theatrical performances and installations, as well as community arts and ritual action performances. Double-bill of live music by award-winning composer, SAMUEL BORDOLI, created for Tower Bridge and The Monument.  At Tower Bridge, musicians play along the length of the west high-level walkway, 42 metres above the Thames; at the Monument, the  entire structure is transformed into a huge, resonant musical instrument up its 311 steps.  Part of the City of London Festival. Online talent competition, run by @westendproducer, invites finallists, five male and five female, chosen from hundreds of entries to the talent search via Youtube and Twitter, to perform in live final and win the chance to become a ‘Leading Lady and Leading Man of the West End.’ The audience are encouraged to Tweet their feedback on the contestants’ performance throughout the evening and will then vote for the winners via Twitter.
