Feast – Market Yard
By Hannah Phillips
If you’re stuck for Valentine’s date ideas – or simply some street food action outside of East London – we have you covered, with the latest venture from food festival stalwarts, Feast.
Quaintly situated under railway arches just off Goldhawk Road, Market Yard brings an all-new dining experience to Shepherd’s Bush in the form of six-week residencies from two of London’s most exciting up-and-coming restaurants.
First up (from 10th February – 20th March) is future Fitzrovia restaurant Foley’s Tasting Kitchen, specialising in spice trail-inspired modern world cooking. Think cornflake crusted chicken (hi, Nigella!) with pickled wild mushrooms, corn, endive & chorizo; spiced sweet potato fritters; and the wonderfully-titled banana cake based dessert. ‘Fat Boy Elvis’.
Or if you’re a fan of a good old-fashioned pizza (Neapolitan style, with a nod to Southern Spain) and beer, Brixton newcomers Made of Dough will be taking over from 23rd March.
With only eighty seats available per night, book in advance, get there early, or risk missing out. And if the photos on Feast’s Instagram are anything to go by, missing out is not an option. After all, we enjoyed last September’s Little Feast pop up a lot!
