Sean Penn’s Latest
Big thanks to our friends at Studio Canal for a sneaky screening of The Gunman, Sean Penn’s latest pic. International operative, Martin Terrier (Penn) wants out of the game to settle down with his longtime love but the organization he works for has other plans. Duh! duh! duh! He’s forced to go on the run, she get’s grabbed. Usual thing. Except that he’s called Terrier. Better than Bloodhound, or Whippet, or Peruvian Inca Orchid (from his Champagne days?).
London (that’s why we care!), Barcelona and bits of Europe all feature – as does Idris Elba, Javier Bardem, Ray Winstone and Mark Rylance. What’s not to like?
It’s out on 20 March, everywhere. It’s not a romcom.
